How To Properly Take Resale Photos

Geeksugar has posted some great tips about how to take the best resale photographs. We thought that these tips would be perfect to share with our Ex-cessories friends and customers because sometimes taking a great photograph of your item can be tricky.

1. Make sure that your item is CLEAN! No one wants to look at a dirty item.
2. Properly light the room your taking the photograph in. If you are shooting outside, do not shoot in the direct sunlight because it is too harsh. Multiple light sources that are indirect are the best.
3. Use a white sheet of paper as a backdrop, which makes almost anything look good on camera. Make sure you don't have a lot of clutter behind your item, because no one wants to see that when looking at your item.
4. Take your pictures up close and at different angles. The more options the better.
5. Do NOT use a PR photo for your item. "There is nothing worse than someone using a photo they didn't take. It's just, well, super shady."
6. If there is damage on the item, take a picture of it. It is nice to be as honest as possible!

So go ahead and grab that jewelry that you have lying around and have been meaning to get rid of! Give these resale photographing tips a try and send them in to us at info@excessories.com to sell your items on Ex-cessories.com!
