October is breast cancer awareness month. This month, stores, shops and communities make an extra effort to openly support causes for breast cancer. According to the National Breast Cancer website, "each year it is estimated that nearly 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and approximately 1,700 men will also be diagnosed with breast cancer."
