Unemployment rises... Are you surprised?

Total unemployment rose to 8.1 % in February from 7.6% in January. In the past 4 months, the U.S. economy has shed 2.6 million jobs. 

Do these numbers scare you? Are you surprised by these numbers or is this what you have come to expect? Do you think the American unemployment situation is going to get better or worse? 

* Friday Night Cocktails *

TGIF! After a long hectic work week, enjoying a nick cocktail is key. Our recommendation for tonight is  the "sassy sangria." 

Ingredients:

1 bottle (750ml) rose or blush wine

1/2 can (11.5 ounce) mango juice

1/2 can (11.5 ounce) guava juice

1/2 can (11.5 ounce) strawberry kiwi juice

Slice of orange, kiwi, lemon, and strawberry 

Fruit ice cubes

Prep:

Combine wine and all juices in a tall pitcher

Add fruit slices and refrigerate for at least 2 hours

Pour into chilled glasses and filled with fruit ice cubes

Garnish glasses with additional fruit slices

How to Make Fruit Ice Cubes:

2 ice cube trays (water or fruit juices)

Assorted fresh fruit (grapes, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, orange, lemons)

Cut or slice fruit to fit into each individual ice cube mold

Fill with water or juice and freeze until solid

Unmold and serve with your drink

Dark Circles?

Do you have dark circles under your eyes and would like quick fix tips? 

Well... it is first important to identify the cause behind your dark circles. Some causes are fixable and some, like family genes, are unfortunately not. Some of the causes behind dark under eye circles are, if you aren't getting enough sleep, you have allergies, you are always rubbing your eyes, or if you are bloated from smoking or drinking excessively. 

Some simple solutions to your problem are...

1. Use an eye cream with vitamin K - minimizes clotting, helping to lighten blood vessels

2. Cover eyes with chilled black tea bags - cool water and caffeine combo constricts blood vessels and lessens blue tones

3. Camouflage shadows - try using a sheer concealing cream that has yellow tones to mask dark circles 

4. Sleep with your head slightly elevated - you'll prevent fluid from collecting under your eyes, which creates shadows

5. Drink enough water - staying hydrated will plump the under-eye skin and help obscure blueness

Chris Brown and Rihanna are back together!

Can you believe that she would take him back after the beating incident?

Sadly, we believe this news. Unfortunately, Rihanna is continuing to allow a horrible cycle in her life to continue and this is extremely sad for all of her fans and the millions of girls who look up to her. This also sends a message to men saying that it is all ok and that women will take back a man regardless of how he treated a woman. Celebrities are held to a higher standard, and whether or not that is fair is not the point... there is a big price that comes with fame!

We do not support Rihanna's decision and think it is a travesty. The pair is currently hiding out at Sean Combs' mansion on Star Island, near Miami Florida.
